JOHN "JR" ROBINSON
When it comes to the business of making a hit record, virtually every producer will tell you, "it starts with the drummer." Fortunately for us, it starts with THE drummer.
We are excited and privileged to have secured the services of John "JR" Robinson as a member of our team. John is known as the most recorded drummer in history and is constantly working with high profile people in the industry due to his incredible musical talent and ability. John began his career in the band Rufus, featuring Chaka Khan. In 1979, he was approached by mega-producer Quincy Jones to play on Michael Jackson's then next release, "Off The Wall". From there, JR has never looked back. He is the "first call" session drummer in the world today. His outstanding list of credits include recordings with everyone from Elton John and Eric Clapton to Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand. His discography is a virtual "who's who" of famous artists. John has also played on a countless number of motion pictures and soundtracks through the years. Notable films in the year 2005 alone were "Nutty Professor," "Starsky & Hutch," "Ladder 49," "13 Going On 30," "Dodgeball" and "Team America."
JR flew to Denver in September 2004 and after one recording session with Ric and our team, he immediately signed on. We couldn't have received any higher confirmation that our creative ability was "world-class."
With all of John's experience in this industry, having him put his Grammy award winning touch on our tunes is awesome. JR's affiliation has opened and will continue to open many doors for us.
